“Landscape Photographs of the Legendary and the Lost” from Mark Sadoski
April 27 – June 20
This exhibition of photographs expresses some sense of the splendor of the mesas, canyons, rivers, deserts, and mountains of the Western landscape. Many of these photographs were taken in legendary national parks, but others were taken in remote and secluded locations. All these photographs are in full color to capture the vibrant, mutable luminosity that characterizes so much of that majestic natural scene.
Mark Sadoski developed an early interest in art through drawing and painting. He embraced photography in college and was inspired by meeting the great landscape photographer Ansel Adams at an exhibition of Adams’ work. Since then, he has focused his lens on landscapes, especially in the West. Mark continues to learn through photography workshops and expeditions that take him to sublime but sometimes lost locations.
